Science Club

Science Club: Young Inventors
Indeed, science club is becoming more interesting by the day as we gradually move away from mere theories to a more practical ground in order to enhance the manipulative skills and awaken the techno genius in the children.
Although there were many challenges in this academic session, yet we did not relent in driving hard to achieve one or two things as expected. However, we were able to make some stuffs from simple available materials around us. For example;
i.   An Improvised Rocket- made of straw, cardboard paper, masking tape, gum, and balloons.

ii.

An Improvised Speed boat- made of chicken bread, spring straw, masking tape and balloons.

iii.                  An Improvise basketball- made of black tapes and balloons.

Lastly, we are leading the children to a point they can on their own think of something and make it a reality. This is the sole reason why we switched to DIY (Do it yourself) approach. Because we deal with pupils from primary 1-6, we have chosen to move gradually from known to unknown, simple to complex and general to specific for better assimilation. Our children are future inventors in the making.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Sulaiman Abdullahi Albaji

The fear of failure is end of progress

I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but the number of times I succeed, and the number of times I succeed is a direct proportion to the number of times I fail and keep trying.        Excellence can only be achieved through experience. Provided you are not afraid of failure, success is your next door. Righteousness + Hard work + Attitude = Excellence That moment when you lead your children to the promise land and they can't stop seeing you as their hero

Which is the Best Teaching Method?

I am proud to be a teacher Which is the best Teaching Method? Teaching method which is the major concern in Great Heights Academy has been the sharpest tool in pedagogy from time immemorial with which knowledge, skill, norms and values are transferred from the trainers to the trainees. It is one of the most tedious tasks to pass experience from one head to another, which call for a systematic approach. Teaching is meaningless if less systematic. The teacher and the learner are just but like bowl full of oil and an empty bottle that needs to be filled. One needs to be extra careful and systematic in pouring the oil into the bottle. If not, it will be wasted and the bottle will remain empty. Hence the situation in class is more critical than one can ever imagine. This is because no one method of teaching is effective when used conservatively. So, could there be a best teaching method? It will be ridiculous to say yes because even prominent scholars in academia are of the opinion...
