Science Club: Young Inventors

                     Science Club
Science club in Great Heights Academy with the slogan ‘The Young Inventors’ has gone beyond mere theory as it is in most schools. Here, it is in its pragmatic phase where pupils make things rather than just sit back and watch them unfold. Particularly in this year, there seems to be a very big U- turn from the old ways to the 21st century way of clubbing. You know, there is nothing more intriguing than seeing children creating functional stuffs out of simple available materials as such giving a green light which indicates that in the nearest future, our country -Nigeria would be capable of competing among other developed nations in the field of technology.

In fact, as far as science club is concerned, we have recorded a number of noticeable successes in this year and we hope to continue in that line as not even the sky will be our limit insha Allah. Our creative and gifted hands all together on deck made some remarkable creations like the GHA-LRV i.e. Lunar Roaming Vehicle that automatically moves around when set on motion; GHA-SF i.e. Standing Fan which is 100% functional; GHA-WV1.0 i.e. Wind Vane that really shows the direction of the wind; jet engine simulation and lots more.

However, simple materials that are readily available like 9-volt batteries, DC motors, flexile wires, adhesives, sellotape, bottle tops and caps, chopsticks, switches, masking tape, pipe, chicken bread, cutter, disposable plates, straws, cardboard, pencil, pin, play-doh, marker, strings, balloon and so on, where used to achieve all these and many more.
In conclusion, all these breakthroughs where achieved as a result of the financial support and pacesetting from the school management as well as the readiness and cooperation on the side of the children. As we continue to work tirelessly to achieve our clearly spelt out goals, watch out for more jaw-dropping creations as more are yet to unfold.

The fear of failure is end of progress

I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but the number of times I succeed, and the number of times I succeed is a direct proportion to the number of times I fail and keep trying.        Excellence can only be achieved through experience. Provided you are not afraid of failure, success is your next door. Righteousness + Hard work + Attitude = Excellence That moment when you lead your children to the promise land and they can't stop seeing you as their hero

My Induction as FIMC, CMC

Alhamdulillah I added some professional titles to my name. I was inducted on this day - 25th of July 2023 as FIMC and CMC i.e Fellow member of the  Institute of Management Consultants and Certified  Management Consultant. It was indeed a memorable one.

Never you say must....

ALWAYS SAY INSHAALLAH PROLOGUE It is advisable for whoever wants to say he shall do anything in the future to always start with  insha Allah  which means if Allah so wish. It is important to note that only Allah is the Doer and He alone can do independent of anyone as He is absolutely unstoppable. Should anyone say he shall do without saying  insha Allah  is trying to take Allah’s stance and surely Allah will prove him stoppable, because human beings holistically depend on Him. Hence, in a typical Hausa settings, Jegede- the major character of this play you are about to explore met his misfortune for foolishly thinking he can do independent of Allah. Anyway, Allah proved him wrong. Ride on and I hope you will enjoy it. Scene one Jegede:  (sitting on the mat, he keeps staring at his wrist watch and frowning his face) oooh! What is wrong with this woman ehe? She always delays my food. Now look at it. It’s almost late. Duduwa! Duduwa!!  Ke Duduwa!!...
